Projektbeschreibung der*des Nominierenden
| Professor Kiryukhin is a distinguished expert on the structure and dynamics of advanced materials. Using x-ray and neutron scattering methods, he has made key contributions to our understanding of the "colossal magnetoresistance" effect and other unusual quantum phenomena in metal oxides. He has also elucidated the microscopic structure of a new type of nanoporous material suspended in liquid helium. During his stay in Germany, he intends to study electronic ordering phenomena at the interface between different metal oxides. |
